Cooperation between Accounting Chamber of Ukraine
and State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia is deepening
On 7 October 2016, the delegation of the State Audit
Office of the Republic of Latvia headed by the Auditor General
Elita Krumina paid working visit to the Accounting Chamber of
Ukraine.
During the bilateral meeting the Chairman of the
Accounting Chamber of Ukraine Roman Maguta outlined the main
principles of activity of the Supreme Audit Institution of Ukraine,
drew attention to the issues connected with adoption of the new Law
of Ukraine “On the Accounting Chamber”.
There were also discussed ways to enhance
interaction within the framework of the Agreement on Cooperation
between the Accounting Chamber and State Audit Office of the
Republic of Latvia in the context of its further development.
The opportunities of bilateral cooperation and
interaction within the international organizations were discussed
in detail during the meeting between the members of the Accounting
Chamber of Ukraine and heads of departments with the delegation of
the SAI of the Republic of Latvia.
The Latvian colleagues were informed on the
institutional system of audit of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine
procedures of audit activities and the implementation process of
the ISSAI (the international standards for Supreme Audit
Institutions).
In turn, the Latvian side informed the participants
about the main activities, new initiatives and challenges of the
State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia.
In addition the parties discussed involvement of the
Accounting Chamber of Ukraine in cooperation within the project on
capacity building of supreme audit institutions of Ukraine, Moldova
and Georgia foreseeing the seminar for Ukrainian auditors on
performance audit and participation of the Accounting
Chamber’s delegates in forum for SAIs-partners of the
EU’s foreign policy initiative "Eastern partnership" to be
held this December in Riga.
